Congratulations to Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa for being the Most Innovative Cabinet Minister 2025. 👏 Now it’s time for the next innovative step! If education is meant to equip the next generation for the future, then climate literacy is not an “elective” — it’s a survival skill. We are teaching children calculus and history while leaving them unprepared for the climate realities they will inherit and lead. Climate change is no longer a future problem. Nigerian children are already living through its impacts. If education is truly meant to prepare young people for the future, then climate education should not be optional. Students need to understand: • causes and impacts of climate change • how to adapt and build resilience • sustainable living and climate action • green innovation and careers We respectfully ask Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa make climate education part of the national curriculum. 🌍
