Hooves on the ground and history made. BLM law enforcement officers recently reached a major milestone at the El Centro Border Patrol Horse Academy. Special Agent Al Pena, Ranger Timothy Brown, and Nelson Benavidez became the first officers from an outside agency to attend and complete the academy. In a class of six, our BLM officers were the sole graduates, a standout achievement in a highly demanding program. Adding to the moment, two of the officers trained and rode BLM mustangs, a powerful connection to the public lands they serve. It’s a reflection of the work happening every day to serve and protect public lands and the people who rely on them. Learn more: https://ow.ly/Pl1h50YLeiM U.S. Customs and Border Protection
