With 21,000+ participants and 1,500 suppliers from more than 70 countries, the event once again showed how dynamic the battery industry is. For us, it was a valuable platform to discuss smart and scalable solutions for lithium-ion battery manufacturing – from wet grinding of active materials to continuous mixing of electrode slurries and dry compounds. A few topics stood out in particular: • DBE – Dry Battery Electrode as a next-generation manufacturing approach that can help reduce investment and operating costs while eliminating toxic solvents. • Wet grinding of silicon as anode active material for high energy density and fast-charging batteries. • How to support cost-efficient gigafactory ramp-ups in Europe by combining Bühler’s experience in China with our established footprint and capabilities in Europe. Our technologies help improve efficiency, consistency and performance across critical process steps – and that is exactly where battery manufacturers need support most.
