Supply chain conversations can sound very distant until a fabric you’ve been waiting for doesn’t arrive when expected. Running a small atelier has made me think about this very differently. When you work on bespoke pieces, especially bridal, changing a fabric or moving a fitting date is never just an operational decision. There is a real person waiting on the other side of it. I read this piece on fashion’s latest supply chain pressures and one thing stayed with me: sometimes resilience is less about having endless options and more about knowing the people you work with well. Over the years, I’ve come to value long-term relationships with mills and specialized workshops more and more. Good communication will not prevent every delay, but it can make a difficult situation much easier to navigate. Maybe “reliable” has become one of the most valuable qualities in fashion. https://lnkd.in/d2qXVg9s #FashionIndustry #LuxuryFashion #FashionDesign #SupplyChain #TextileSourcing #BespokeFashion #BridalCouture
