On Monday, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the ASEAN Council on Petroleum and Energy (ASCOPE) to BSP for a knowledge-sharing visit focused on the opportunities and challenges of managing mature oil and gas assets. The delegation was led by Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Siti Salwati binti Haji Mohd Shariff, Head of Exploration at the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA). PA serves as Brunei Darussalam's designated focal point for ASCOPE. The visit began at the BSP Head Office in Seria with an engaging presentation and Q&A session led by BSP Technical Director, Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Mariana binti Haji Omar, who shared insights into BSP’s operations, and the strategies followed by a deep dive into the company's maturing asset portfolio presented by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Farrizal Fared bin Haji Mohd Walli, BSP Cluster Development Lead. The open discussions provided a valuable platform for exchanging experiences, strengthening regional collaboration, and learning from one another’s expertise. The delegation also toured BSP’s New Gas Compression Plant (NGCP) and a hoist worksite in Seria, gaining a closer look at the technologies, people, and operational excellence that support the safe and reliable delivery of energy. The visit reflected ASCOPE’s shared commitment to fostering stronger partnerships and advancing best practices across the region’s oil and gas industry.
