It seems I’m not the only one who’s recently wondered why Aberdeen doesn’t have a proper Waitrose & Partners store. Despite being one of Scotlands’s largest cities, that has some of the most affluent postcodes outside of London and a population with some of the highest disposable incomes in Scotland. Several other supermarket retailers have recently noticed Aberdeen’s strong growth in the sector and are moving to larger locations to cater to it. Kingswells, to the west of the city, would be a good location. It’s close to some of the most affluent areas of the Shire and the West side of the City. There’s ample land around the Prime Four business park, where much of the oil and gas industry, as well as increasingly renewable industry, is based or close by in Westhill. There was going to be a retail park built there, near the AWPR bypass, but as with some projects, it never happened. https://lnkd.in/ep6CEXYh Drum Property Group David Kilgour Graeme Bone Savills mark fleming Knight Frank Alasdair Steele FG Burnett Richard Noble Campbell Docherty Tom Denyard James Bailey Alun Jones Dale Abbott Isabel Macdonald Nish Kankiwala Tom Fenton MCIOB Darren Wright
