We are proud to mark a significant milestone for youth homelessness in Australia: the opening of the Woden Education First Youth Foyer in Canberra. This is the tenth EFY Foyer site in BSL's network, and it represents more than a decade of evidence, partnership and practice built on a simple but powerful conviction: resolving youth homelessness takes more than housing. The Woden EFY Foyer will provide a home for up to 20 young people aged 16-24 including young parents combining quality transitional housing with our Advantaged Thinking coaching model, helping young people move toward education, employment and independence. We are grateful to the Federal and ACT Governments for their investment in this life-changing program, and proud to be partnering with the Canberra Institute of Technology and Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn to deliver it. Over the past decade, thousands of students have graduated from EFY Foyers across Australia. Around 350 young people are living across our sites at any one time, building the skills and confidence to create brighter, sustainable futures. Find out more at https://lnkd.in/dwyRFMew
