Pledges, honest stories from people with lived experience and the unveiling of a plan we’ve been building together for a long time. We have officially launched our Stretch Disability Action Plan 2026–2028 and this is just the beginning. At BSL, we believe that an Australia free of poverty can only be achieved when everyone can fully participate, in our workplaces, our communities, and our lives. Our Disability Action Plan is our commitment to making that real, starting within our own organisation. This plan was shaped by the voices of our Disability Inclusion Network, our people leaders and our community. It is built on the principle of ‘nothing about us without us.’ It sets bold goals for how we recruit, support, and champion people with disability across every level of BSL. We also unveiled the cover artwork, "Rainbow Rainbow Rainbow Flowers", by the extraordinary Catherine McGuiness, a celebrated artist who works with Studio A. More than 1 in 5 Australians live with disability. This plan is our promise to do more, for our people and for the communities we’re here to serve.
