With measles continuing to circulate in the UK, it’s important to protect yourself and others through vaccination. Measles is a serious illness that can have complications affecting the lungs and brain, and can often result in hospitalisation. Measles also causes ‘immune amnesia’, meaning that if you catch measles, you are less protected from other infections in the future, even if you’ve previously been vaccinated against them.
