A new report from The Richmond Group of Charities highlights how neighbourhood health services can transform care for people living with long-term conditions - with the voluntary sector playing a vital role. It features great insights from British Red Cross health and care services, with Kate Griffiths and Diane Hargreaves highlighting the importance of valuing and investing in non-clinical roles to deliver more proactive, person-centred care. Our High Intensity Use (HIU) service is a powerful example. Support workers in the British Red Cross’s HIU service flex their roles depending on individual need - acting as advocates, care coordinators, social prescribers, coaches, or mental health support. That flexibility is key to creating truly person-centred care, giving people the space to set their own agenda and focus on what matters most to them. If they can work in partnership to provide holistic, person-centred care, neighbourhood health services could be transformative for people. 👇Read the full report https://lnkd.in/ezjbj9Q2
