The Department for International Trade (DIT) in Austria and The Forum Club hosted a breakfast together focusing on the intriguing world of motorsport a couple of days ago. Her Majesty's Ambassador to Austria, Leigh Turner CMG highlighted the United Kingdom, which has been leading in this industry for over 50 years – with more than 4,000 motorsport companies operating out of the UK in this field, creating more than 40,000 jobs for skilled employees. Dominating the global motorsport – 7 out of 10 Formula 1 teams are based in the UK. #NickFry, who has a decorated history in the automotive world, talked about his recent book: “Survive. Drive. Win.”, an account of the extraordinary year of 2009 when – against all the odds – he and Ross Brawn created the team to win the championship, with Jenson Button as their driver. He shared insights and visions on how organisations can maintain a high performance in highly competitive markets, drawing on the parallels from the fascinating world of Formula 1. #BusinessIsGREAT #InnovationIsGreat #FormulaOne #F1 #UK #Formula1
