This ANZAC Day, we pause to honour the courage, resilience and enduring spirit of those who have served our country. These qualities don’t fade with time, they continue to shape lives well into later years. At 90, Brightwater Home Care resident and veteran William is a powerful example of this ANZAC spirit in action. He continues to live with determination, positivity and strength - values deeply rooted in his service. Research shows that a positive mindset, regular movement and mental stimulation all play a vital role in ageing well. William brings this to life every day, staying active, engaged and forward-looking. “You have to be positive, otherwise you go under,” he says, adding that “90 means nothing to me.” This ANZAC Day, we recognise not only William’s service, but the way he continues to embody resilience, independence and purpose. Lest we forget and thank you William, for continuing to inspire us 🎖️
