The message of #WorldEnvironmentDay 2026 is clear: the planet is sending signals too hot to ignore, and it’s time for all of us – governments, businesses and individuals – to step up and play our part to tackle climate change. At Bridgestone EMEA, we’re embarked on a journey to help shape a more sustainable future for all. That means working to reduce our impact across the entire life cycle of a Bridgestone tyre; from how it’s made to how it performs on the road. This includes partnering with our suppliers to decarbonise our supply chain, using Virtual Tyre Development to reduce emissions from prototypes and testing, and decarbonising our manufacturing plants – with 100% of our purchased electricity at every plant in Europe coming from renewable sources. We’re also reducing the rolling resistance of our tyres to help cut carbon emissions in the use phase, alongside many other initiatives that support our journey towards a more sustainable future. We hear the urgent signals the Earth is sending, loud and clear, and support the UN’s call for all of us to step in #NowForClimate.
