🇮🇳 India Just Did What Even SpaceX Couldn't Do on Its First Attempt 🚀 One Launch. One Orbit. One Giant Leap for India's Private Space Industry. India's commercial space programme has achieved a historic milestone with the successful orbital insertion of Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1 on its maiden mission, making it one of the few privately developed orbital launch vehicles worldwide to reach orbit on its first flight. The achievement is significant by international launch standards. Even SpaceX's Falcon 1 required four launch attempts before successfully achieving orbit. Vikram-1's first-flight success underscores the growing technological maturity of India's private space sector and reflects the capabilities of a new generation of Indian aerospace engineers. Mission Aagaman successfully deployed six customer payloads into their designated orbit. These included Grahaa Space's SOLARAS nanosatellite, Cosmoserve Space's EMBRACE robotic arm technology demonstrator, Dcubed's in-orbit technology payload from Germany, Skyroot's SCOPE technology demonstrator, alongside the symbolic payloads Cosmic Bloom by Cosmos Diamonds and a micro-art tribute honouring Sir C. V. Raman, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, and Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Following orbital deployment, Grahaa Space confirmed that SOLARAS successfully established communication, transmitted telemetry, validated spacecraft subsystems under operational space conditions, and achieved the primary objectives of Mission SIDDHI. Coinciding with Skyroot Aerospace's eighth anniversary, the mission reflects the evolution of India's space ecosystem from policy reform to commercial capability. Supported by IN-SPACe, ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization, and an expanding private aerospace industry, India is steadily strengthening its position as a competitive global launch destination for satellites, advanced space technologies, and commercial orbital services.
