Project Feature: Terracotta House by Matyas Architects & Interiors This once modest Federation home has been thoughtfully reimagined by Matyas Architects & Interiors, who returned to the project two decades after their initial involvement. In collaboration with Moss Interiors, the team has introduced a confident new extension that balances respect for the past with a renewed vision. The original heritage façade remains, preserving its contribution to the established streetscape, while a bold contemporary addition unfolds at the rear. Clad in Austral Bricks SK1N terracotta in Potenza, the extension forms a continuous, tactile surface across both roof and walls, creating a seamless dialogue between old and new.
