Strengthening Bremen-UK ties. This week, Karin Noetzel is on an acquisition trip to London and Liverpool. Her goal: further strengthening Bremen’s ties with the United Kingdom and exploring new business opportunities. A highlight in London was the Spring Reception of the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce, bringing together more than 200 guests from business, finance, media, and diplomacy. The event offered an excellent platform for exchange – including conversations on upcoming Bremen–UK projects and new cooperation opportunities. We were also pleased to engage with key stakeholders such as Dr Ulrich Hoppe (AHK London), Christian Doktor (Deputy Head of Mission, German Embassy London), and ZDF correspondent Wolf-Christian Ulrich, gaining insights into international activities – and talking about inbound delegations from the UK in connection with the Drone Days expo in August in Bremen. The journey continues to Liverpool for the UK-Germany Business Forum 2026 – further deepening our network and dialogue with partners across regions. We are invited via the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V. (BCCG). Thank you! These visits are part of our ongoing efforts under the Kensington Agreement to explore business potential in North West England and the Midlands and to position Bremen as a strong partner for UK companies looking towards Europe. We return with valuable insights, new connections, and plenty of momentum for future collaboration.
