Even the summer heat can't slow us down – over the past few days, we welcomed two international delegations from South Africa and Algeria! Our guests from South Africa visited Bremen as part of the "Partnering in Business with Germany" programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The delegation, representing SMEs from the food industry and digital services sectors, explored Bremen's innovation ecosystem through visits and discussions with local partners. We were pleased to welcome the group at Bremeninvest, where Karin Noetzel introduced Bremen as a business location. The programme also included visits to the Bremen Chamber of Commerce (Handelskammer Bremen - IHK für Bremen und Bremerhaven), the Enterprise Europe Network Bremen, and the Creative Hub Bremen. At the same time, Kolja Westley Umland welcomed a delegation from Algeria, visiting Germany through an EU Twinning Project in cooperation with Algerian Investment Promotion Agency الوكالة الجزائرية لترقية الإستثمار Algeria's foreign trade promotion agency. Accompanied by Prof. Stefan Veith from Hochschule Bremen – City University of Applied Sciences, the delegation learned more about Bremen's industrial landscape and logistics expertise. As part of the programme, Gareth Hopkins presented Bremen's activities in renewable energy and hydrogen technologies, highlighting another key strength of our region. We would like to thank all partners and contributors who helped make these visits a success. Building international relationships starts with personal exchange and we look forward to welcoming many more delegations to Bremen in the future.
