Access to safe sanitation is essential for effective healthcare systems. We are pleased to share the successful completion of the fifth and final phase of the Clean Water Project Series in Tajikistan. At the City Infectious Disease Hospital in Panjakent, the project combined infrastructure improvements with capacity development: – Installation of a decentralized wastewater treatment system (DEWATS) – Rehabilitation of sanitation facilities and sewer networks – Delivery of targeted trainings on hygiene, sustainable sanitation, and system operation As a result, approximately 328,000 people in the hospital catchment area now benefit from improved hygienic conditions. This achievement was made possible with the generous support of the Lions Club of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan and Equidev #Sanitation #WASH #PublicHealth #SustainableDevelopment #Partnerships #BORDA
