Two stops, one shared goal: strengthening collaboration. During a regional planning workshop in Dakar, Senegal, colleagues from across the region came together to align on priorities and prepare for the next project phase. A key focus was the upcoming exit phase of Mali, which will conclude its involvement in the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)-funded project (within the framework of Social Structure Promotion) by the end of 2026. This transition raises important questions for all partners involved: what has been achieved so far – both in Mali and within the regional collaboration – and how can knowledge transfer and cooperation be shaped going forward? Discussions also looked at future collaboration between Senegal and Mauritania, including shared goals and working structures for the next phase. The trip continued to Nouakchott, Mauritania. The visit to the local office focused on getting to know the team, gaining insights into their day-to-day work, and aligning mutual expectations. Processes were jointly reflected on and further developed. These moments of exchange are essential for building shared understanding and strengthening collaboration across locations. #BORDA #teamBORDA #regionalexchange #westafrica #internationalcooperation
