Exciting news! Abbott’s Libre Duo received the CE mark in Europe! It is the first sensor to track both glucose and ketones continuously. Late last year, Breakthrough T1D, led by Chief Medical Officer Thomas Danne, convened a panel of experts to devise consensus recommendations for how continuous ketone monitoring (CKM) may improve outcomes for individuals at risk for developing diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). This device is currently under review at the FDA in the US, and we look forward to a future in which DKA is more easily prevented and the T1D community can fully experience the benefits of CKM.
