Fusion will only matter if the systems can be built, operated, and deployed at scale.    That is what makes BE-backed Pacific Fusion’s latest milestone important. The team has built and validated a scaled prototype of its pulsed-power module—the core energy driver of its fusion system—demonstrating ~440 GW of peak output power in an 80-nanosecond burst.    Each completed module is designed to deliver more than a terawatt of peak power in a 100-nanosecond pulse. Pacific Fusion’s demonstration system will use 156 modules firing in tight synchronization to compress a fuel target and release fusion energy.    This is the hard engineering work behind commercialization: validating the core system, reducing risk, and designing components for factory-built deployment. https://lnkd.in/eYd3fxU8
