It’s Refugee Week, and the theme is “courage”. A word that means something different to everyone. For many of the people we work with, courage is found in those big, life-changing moments. Leaving behind everything familiar. Navigating a new culture. Supporting a family in a new country. Rebuilding a career from scratch. But courage is also found in the everyday. Asking for directions in a new language, taking a bus through a new city, applying for that first job.  We see the determination, resilience, and strength of the people we support every day, as they overcome barriers and work towards their goals. While the challenges can be significant, so too is the courage it takes to keep moving forward. This Refugee Week, we'll be sharing reflections from our clients on what courage means to them.
