Last week, BRANZ opened the doors of its state‑of‑the‑art Fire Lab to the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and Fire and Emergency NZ for an in‑depth look at the science of fire and how it behaves inside buildings. When it comes to fire testing, size really does matter - it directly affects how a fire grows and spreads. As one of the largest facilities of its kind in the World, the BRANZ Fire Lab can safely simulate fires at a scale never before possible in New Zealand.
