Global Credit, RBC Capital Markets | Ivey MBA | TMU BComm. | RBC Performance Cruise Recipient ’23

I would like to take this opportunity to share my personal experience during the 2023/2024 Royal Performance conference I was fortunate to attend earlier this January. Conference recipients earn this prestigious award by being selected from the group of individual quarterly performance recipients, representing the top 1% of performers across the organization for that year. During the weeklong cruise, they network with executive hosts, attend inspiring business sessions, and learn about upcoming innovations, while enjoying the amenities aboard the ship. The conference allowed me to network and meet hundreds of other recipients such as myself who all had their own unique stories of how they earned their seat. With every conversation, I was able to gain a better understanding of what excellence and dedication truly look like. My team and senior management nominated me for my distinctive approach to leadership and the fast progression I made in my two-and-a-half years at the RBC. During this time, I was able to progress from a part-time employee completing my studies at Toronto Metropolitan University to a management position now responsible for the growth and success of a remote team of 15 collections officers. This last year is one I will not forget. I am happy not only with the progress I have made but the potential that senior management and directors saw in me before I recognized it myself. I am thankful for being in a position where I can truly push the limit of what I am capable of and challenge myself every day. This experience was one of learning and celebration. Congratulations again to my fellow Conference Award recipients. I hope I was able to make a lasting impact on your career journey as you all have had on mine. #rbc #management #careerdevelopment #learningjourney
