On Sunday, I had the pleasure of hosting a team Blood Plasma Donation event for the Meadowvale team in partnership with Canadian Blood Services and RBC Gives Blood. Together, we contributed six plasma donations. An incredible effort with the potential to help up to 18 patients. Donated blood plasma serves two vital purposes: Transfusions for patients with trauma, bleeding disorders, and other urgent needs and plasma protein therapies for individuals living with immunodeficiency, autoimmune disorders, and other chronic conditions. One plasma donation can help save or improve the lives of up to three people—a small act with a truly life-changing impact. It was also great to learn about the long history of donation initiatives that RBC participates in from Mark Roberts. A heartfelt thank you to Greyson Chu, Kate Yipremian, Paramveer Singh, Sathis Kumar Pillai .M, Nelka Galhena, Abdullah Ishrat and the co-leads Navin Chakalakal and Radhika Nair who came out and supported this meaningful initiative on a Sunday Morning! #RBC #EveryDayHero #RBCGivesBlood
