UK boards haven't caught on yet, But two protocols have ended the AI vendor trap... They're called MCP and A2A. → MCP connects an agent to your tools. Your CRM, helpdesk, and databases. → A2A lets one agent hand work to another. Here's the part that matters: Both are now neutral open standards under the Linux Foundation. Backed by Google, Microsoft, AWS and more. In 2024, MCP had one owner. A2A didn't exist. Adopting either meant trusting one vendor. That risk is now gone. So we build on both: 1. MCP for every tool → built once → reused 2. A2A for every handoff → designed in early 3. Open standards → portable across vendors The payoff: ✔ Swap the model without rebuilding on top ✔Integrations that survive a vendor pivot ✔ Lock-in as a board-level risk control Buying agentic AI this year? The math changed. It's not "which model is best?", but "can we afford to lock in to one?"
