I’d like to recognize our Montgomery Partners Summer Intern, Peter Eaton. Peter is completing an eight-week rotation with the company, shadowing different parts of the business including Acquisitions, Property Management, Brokerage, Investor Relations/Fundraising, Accounting and Asset Management. It’s been enjoyable to view our approach through a fresh perspective and think more about how/why we do things the way we do. I really admire his enthusiasm and penchant for learning. 15+ years ago, I took a similar path out of school with The Bascom Group's renowned internship program. It was my first experience in the Multifamily world; Jerry Fink and David Kim provided a platform to learn the fundamentals, make mistakes, have a lot of fun (!), and generally empower someone to pursue a career in the industry. It’s been rewarding to offer that same experience to someone else and I encourage others to consider doing the same. Peter is back to Stanford next month and I will be excited to follow his journey from there. A big thank you to everyone that has been generous to spend time with him this summer.
