🌍 Important conversations at United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Resource The #UNECEResourceManagementWeek2026 is a flagship annual gathering hosted by the UNECE - United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva. It brings together policymakers, industry leaders, financial institutions, and technical experts to advance sustainable resource management aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The platform focuses on responsible sourcing of critical raw materials, the application of the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources, circular economy approaches, and the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into resource development. It also serves as a key forum for shaping international cooperation on energy transition minerals, resource security, and innovative solutions such as secondary resource recovery from mine tailings.   Our Head of ESG and Business Development, Imran Shaikh, was invited to attend the UNECE Resource Management Week in Geneva together with Said Almusharrafi representative from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals Oman. Discussions focused on advancing the implementation of the UNEA Resolution on Minerals and Metals, jointly proposed by Oman and Colombia, with particular emphasis on resource recovery from mine tailings and strengthening circular economy approaches in the mining sector. The discussions also highlighted the Green Tech Mining & Services LLC Arjaa Project as a strong potential candidate for recognition as a strategic project under the Critical Raw Materials Act outside the EU, demonstrating its role in contributing to sustainable and secure critical raw materials supply chains. #CriticalRawMaterials #CircularEconomy #ESG #EnergyTransition #ResourceSecurity
