Do you know the impact of food systems? Beautifood does! On 12 May 2026, Bozar hosted the closing event of the Brussels edition of Beautifood on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of FIAN Belgium, an organisation advocating for the right to food. The event highlighted the voices of those fighting for a fairer future and addressing the major food-related challenges faced by our societies and decision-makers. Since 2024, the European project ‘Beautifood’, supported by the CERV Programme, has been fostering dialogue on sustainable, equitable and fair food systems. Through artistic expression, playful learning and collective experiences, Beautifood has already enabled the organisation of three participatory and creative workshops, paving the way towards a more sustainable food system while empowering citizens to take action within their communities. 🍆 Created in collaboration with the non-profit organisation Cultureghem VZW and the artist Ditte Van Brempt, an installation was also displayed on May 12th in front of Bozar to reflect on the impact of food waste, as well as the collection and redistribution of surplus food.
