Case of the Month: Soft tissue augmentation and ridge reconstruction using cerabone® plus and mucoderm® We are pleased to share a great case by Dr Giorgio Tabanella DDS,MS highlighting predictable bone and soft tissue management. The patient presented with a pronounced bucco-lingual ridge collapse and an insufficient band of keratinized mucosa. The treatment involved bone augmentation using cerabone® plus, followed by implant placement with soft tissue enhancement using mucoderm®, stabilized with a NOVAMag® S fixation screw. Primary closure was achieved with reinforced e-PTFE sutures, ensuring stability and optimal adaptation of the graft. Clinical outcomes: · 3 months post-surgery: STL imaging and clinical evaluation demonstrated a wider band of keratinized mucosa, increased vestibular depth, and more than 1 mm of vertical and horizontal soft tissue gain. · 7 months post-surgery: The site exhibited a thickened and stable band of keratinized mucosa, adequate ridge height, and excellent aesthetic and functional outcomes. Implant integration remained stable, and soft-tissue architecture showed significant improvement.
