We’re proud to share that Naima Joseph, MD, MPH, a maternal fetal medicine specialist at BMC, presented her research on pregnancy-related mortality due to infection at American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)'s 2026 Annual Clinical Meeting. Her study, published in Obstetrics & Gynecology, highlights infection as a persistent and preventable contributor to maternal deaths in the U.S. The findings underscore the importance of early recognition, prevention, and timely treatment of infection during pregnancy and postpartum care.
