🏙️ How do you install a heat pump in a century-old city building when space is tight and neighbors value quiet nights? 📏 In a 1913 building in Frankfurt‑Griesheim (Germany), space was limited both inside and out. Low ceilings in the basement and a tight courtyard posed clear planning challenges. By working closely with the owner and the installation team, we found a solution that fits the setting, meets noise requirements and lays the groundwork for a more electrified future: a compact hybrid system combining an air‑to‑water heat pump with a gas condensing unit. 🌱 For many housing companies and owners, this raises an important point: even in dense urban areas, solutions exist that balance climate goals, cost awareness and the realities of existing buildings. The Frankfurt project shows what becomes possible with good planning and close collaboration. 🔗 Curious how the team solved the noise challenge, why hydraulic balancing mattered and how this setup can evolve into an all‑electric system?
