From bustling ports to remote towns, heavy-duty trucks are an essential part of India’s freight network, driving commerce across the huge country. 🚚 This raises a critical question: How can we make this essential transportation more sustainable? Associates at Bosch in India met this challenge with a possible solution: hydrogen. Leveraging existing expertise and manufacturing technology, they converted a diesel truck into a hydrogen-engine vehicle in just six months. Their greatest hurdle was safety – tackling the unique requirements for using a gas like hydrogen in road traffic. After overcoming all obstacles and meeting regulations, the test trucks are now on the road, gathering data for future series production.
