What a surreal experience having all these brilliant people in my hometown at the 3rd International Top-Down Proteomics Symposium in Hamburg! Consortium for Top-Down Proteomics Si Wu Ljiljana Pasa-Tolic Mowei Zhou I had the privilege of speaking at the Bruker lunch seminar about "MS enabled precision chemistry to study AMP-activated Kinase proteoforms" - always exciting to share the latest work. Beyond the science, it was fantastic reconnecting with old friends and colleagues. Had a blast helping out with the Early Researcher Committee event organized by Fanny Caroline Liu, moderating the trivia session with my postdoc friend Philipp T. Kaulich from Kiel. "Whats the biggest challenge in ionizing a Fish Sandwich?" Also had the honor of co-chairing the Biopharmaceuticals + Therapeutic proteins session alongside Guinevere S.M. Lageveen-Kammeijer. Huge thanks to Ying Ge and Charlotte Uetrecht for their continued support over the years, and to Pascal Steffen-Lockhauserbäumer and Christian Albers from Bruker for the invitation to their seminar. Capped off the trip with a weekend in Berlin with my US colleagues Jake A. Melby, Ph.D. and Holden Rogers! This community continues to push the boundaries of what's possible in TD proteomics. Thanks to the Organizers, particularly Hartmut Schlüter and Maria Riedner! #TopDownProteomics #TeamMassSpec #MassSpectrometry #Hamburg
