It turns out award signs can be recycled too. When Van 't Hek Groep was announced as the winner of Best Large Company at the 2026 Business Awards North Holland (OVNH), Boon Edam Nederland Managing Director Dirk Aldenzee jokingly suggested at the ceremony that, rather than making a new sign, they could simply collect the one displayed outside our headquarters in Edam. But what started as a light-hearted suggestion soon became a plan. A few weeks later, a Van ’t Hek truck arrived in Edam to collect the sign and give it a new home in Zuidoostbeemster. A simple, sustainable gesture and a nice example of the strong connections between companies in North Holland. Congratulations once again to Van ’t Hek Groep on a well-deserved win.
