For #HispanicHeritageMonth, Jeovany Cantillano shares with us one of his inspirations: “Johnny Pacheco helped bring salsa to the world. He was a Dominican-born bandleader and songwriter, and he co-founded the record label Fania Records and turned salsa music into a worldwide sensation. He signed Latin music’s hottest talents of all time including Celia Cruz, Willie Colón, Hector Lavoe, and Rubén Blades. He was a gifted flutist, led the way on and off the stage, working as a songwriter, arranger and leader of the Fania All Stars, salsa’s first supergroup.”
