Diane Keaton: The Architecture of an Icon achieved white glove results, totalling $4.2m across the four auctions. Thousands attended the exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles, while the auctions saw bidder participation from 39 countries and all 50 U.S. states. In total, the auction series set a new global registration record for Bonhams. Anna Hicks, Bonhams Head of Private & Iconic Collections, US, commented: "We are absolutely thrilled with the results and the response to Diane Keaton's collection. This series offered a rare glimpse into a life shaped by film, design, and fashion, and the perfect sell‑through across all four sales speaks to the impact of Diane's unmistakable eye. It has been a privilege to bring this chapter of her story to the public and a testament to Bonhams' commitment to presenting cross‑category collections that resonate with audiences worldwide." Diane's original Annie Hall script sold for $394,200, nearly 100 times its estimate, after a 22-minute bidding war. The David Wojnarowicz gelatin silver print achieved $127,500, setting a new world auction record for the image and the Ralph Lauren houndstooth ensemble worn to the 2020 Academy Awards, and later featured on the cover of her book Fashion First, sold for $40,960.
