For my upcoming project, I plan to leverage AI models to generate 3D objects, specifically for background elements or simplified stylized figures. So, I decided to put the popular models available in early 2026 to the test. I decided not to include Meshy v6 this time, as observations suggest it produces results quite similar to Hunyuan3d and Tripo. My takeaways: š¹ There is a tangible difference between Hunyuan3d and Trellis. However, I have to admit that sometimes where Trellis lacks detail, it actually works as a plus for specific scenes. š¹ Tripo, I would say, sits comfortably in the middle. Considering that generally, none of the above models offer high-quality retopology yet, I didn't focus too much on the mesh itself. Instead, when choosing a tool right now, Iād recommend prioritizing: The general execution technique/style. The required level of detail for your specific need. The cost per generation. The author of the reference and the scene in the middle is PhoenixAlgo. Thanks for the inspiration! š
