For my upcoming project, I plan to leverage AI models to generate 3D objects, specifically for background elements or simplified stylized figures. So, I decided to put the popular models available in early 2026 to the test. I decided not to include Meshy v6 this time, as observations suggest it produces results quite similar to Hunyuan3d and Tripo. My takeaways: šŸ”¹ There is a tangible difference between Hunyuan3d and Trellis. However, I have to admit that sometimes where Trellis lacks detail, it actually works as a plus for specific scenes. šŸ”¹ Tripo, I would say, sits comfortably in the middle. Considering that generally, none of the above models offer high-quality retopology yet, I didn't focus too much on the mesh itself. Instead, when choosing a tool right now, I’d recommend prioritizing: The general execution technique/style. The required level of detail for your specific need. The cost per generation. The author of the reference and the scene in the middle is PhoenixAlgo. Thanks for the inspiration! šŸ™Œ
