Friends and acquaintances... **please REPOST** Liver Transplant success! I received a right lobe liver transplant Feb 06, 2024, and am back home after 8 months in/out of the hospital. I'm enjoying the company of family and friends, warm summer-like days here in the desert, bicycle riding, and very nice morning coffees. The simple things. Miracles do happen. Over 700 people selflessly volunteered to donate a portion of their liver- to save my life. For this alone, I am forever grateful. The Team chose one, a perfect match. I met my donor in the surgery waiting room, - a bit of a shock, and as it turns out - a co-worker of my wife from years back. A wonderful gentleman with a very supportive family. My donor has fully recovered, his liver has completely regrown and functions normally. I am still recovering, slowly gaining strength. I'm doing well. To my Donor - Brother from Another Mother - Merry Christmas. You've given me a new lease on life. We'll see you again soon. To the Transplant Team at Huntsman Cancer Hospital/University of Utah Health, I cannot thank you enough for your compassionate care, your skill, and your devotion to making the world a better place. Happy Holidays to all of you - with love, Bob & Mel
