GTCR LLC, a leading US private equity firm, has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Zentiva, Europe’s premier generic pharmaceuticals player from Advent International.   Headquartered in Prague, Zentiva delivers generics, OTC and specialty drugs to circa 100 million people in over 30 countries spanning Europe and beyond.   The transaction creates GTCR’s first European-focused investment platform in the healthcare sector, building on over 40 years of industry expertise and numerous pharmaceutical investments.   BNP Paribas acted as lead financial advisor and financing bank to GTCR.
