On #WorldEnvironmentDay, it is particularly relevant to revisit how we assess the environmental impact of our mobility choices. The environmental impact of electric vehicles is still widely debated, and often reduced to battery production. But assessing environmental impact means looking at the full lifecycle of the vehicle, from manufacturing to daily usage and end-of-life management. While battery production does generate emissions upfront, the difference is progressively offset once the vehicle is in use. And this advantage continues to grow as renewable electricity expands, and battery recycling technologies mature. Changing is not a risk.
