AI systems are now handling nearly half of customer support interactions. AI assistants are managing workloads that previously required hundreds of support executives. Businesses are no longer discussing whether AI has potential. They are evaluating where it genuinely improves speed, cost, decision-making, and operational efficiency. That became the center of discussion at the latest BNI Surat Knowledge Series. Nachiket P. presented on agentic AI, systems designed not just to respond to instructions but also to understand objectives, coordinate workflows, interact across tools, and complete tasks with limited human intervention. The larger implication is not technological. It is organisational. For years, companies scaled by adding layers of coordination: more approvals, more follow-ups, more reporting structures, more operational dependency between teams. AI systems are beginning to reduce some of that friction. Gartner estimates that by 2028, nearly 15% of routine business decisions could be made autonomously by AI systems. In 2024, that number was effectively zero. The pace of this shift is exactly why conversations like these matter. Alongside Nachiket Patel, four additional speakers shared how AI is already entering practical business environments across industries. We were also honoured to have IPS Raghav Jain as Chief Guest, bringing perspective from a role where speed, judgement, accountability, and real-time decision-making are part of everyday leadership. The businesses that understand this shift early will not just adopt new tools. They will operate differently. Gaurav VK Singhvi, Atul Gupta
