Im Austausch mit Richard Gere sowie internationalen Expertinnen und Experten ging es um die Ursachen von Flucht und Migration, den Schutz von Menschenrechten und die Frage, wie nachhaltige politische Antworten aussehen können. Wie sprechen wir über Migration — und wie schaffen wir Lösungen, die Menschenrechte, internationale Zusammenarbeit und Realität zusammenbringen? Darüber haben an der Hertie School in Berlin Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Politik, Wissenschaft und Zivilgesellschaft diskutiert — beim Launch der „Joint Initiative on Migration“ der THE GERE FOUNDATION und des Centre for Fundamental Rights - Hertie School. ——————————————————— “We are all immigrants. Together with Richard Gere and international experts, participants discussed the causes of displacement and migration, the protection of human rights and the question of how sustainable political responses can be shaped. How do we talk about migration — and how do we create solutions that bring together human rights, international cooperation and reality on the ground?
