During this new interview series, and after spending months talking with the people actually building AI solutions for logistics, I’ve developed a working theory: The humanoids are already here. Not in the way most people think. A lot of the public is waiting for some dramatic AI takeover story where agents replace everyone overnight. That narrative makes for great headlines, but it misses what’s actually happening. Many companies overhired. They operated inefficiently. Cheap money disappeared. Businesses were forced to cut costs and become more disciplined. AI became the convenient explanation, even when the real problem was broken processes. When you move past the noise and look at how these tools are being deployed, a different story emerges. Logistics is doing what it has always done: improving the source-to-porch journey one decision at a time. The most effective AI solutions aren’t replacing human expertise. They’re amplifying it. They’re helping people make faster decisions, spot patterns, solve problems, and focus their attention where it matters most. In other words, the “humanoids” aren’t walking around in metal suits. They’re already showing up inside workflows and making efficiency gains that are recognized in hindsight. You can listen to the full 8 interviews on the new CargoRex YouTube channel along with our in-depth guide featuring every company, quote, and insight from this series. I also created a companion Everything is Logistics episode with my thesis using quotes from each of the interviews. I’m especially proud of this new editorial direction for the show because it focuses less on hype and more on how these technologies/services are actually being used in the real world. Thanks to these folks for being part of it: 💡Michelle McBride of Envoy AI 💡Nick Boston of GoodShip 💡Tom Curee of Qued 💡Tete Xiao of Bot Auto 💡Sarit Tamir of Seeteria | Warehouse Flow Visibility 💡Shawn McCarrick of Sifted 💡Tapan Chaudhari of Hey Bubba AI 💡Jett Chitanand of EPG Ehrhardt Partner Group I’d love to hear whether you agree with the theory after listening.
