Today, we introduced Kyoto-Style Espresso across Blue Bottle cafes globally. Inspired by Kyoto's slow, deliberate approach to coffee extraction, Kyoto-Style Espresso is brewed cold from the start and designed specifically for ice. For years, iced espresso has largely been an adaptation of a process designed for hot coffee. With Kyoto-Style Espresso, we took a different approach—one built around how people actually experience iced coffee. The result is a noticeably smoother, more refined espresso that maintains its structure, sweetness, and character from the first sip to the last. More than a new beverage, Kyoto-Style Espresso serves as the foundation of a dedicated iced espresso menu and reflects our commitment to refining how coffee is prepared and experienced.
