It has today come to BCA’s attention that people can subscribe through myGov to receive 2026 Census information electronically, with a deadline of this Sunday, 14th June. If you subscribe through myGov, you will receive Census updates and a link to access the Census in your myGov Inbox. This option may make the Census more accessible for people who use screen readers, magnification software or other assistive technology, supporting greater independence in completing the process. How to subscribe: 1. Log in to your myGov account 2. Select “Subscribe to 2026 Census Update” on the main page 3. Read the information and select “Subscribe to 2026 Census” 4. Select “Get Started” and follow the prompts 5. Enter your address and select it from the list 6. Select the tick boxes to: Agree to share your address with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Subscribe to receive 2026 Census information electronically 7. Select “Submit” A success message will confirm your subscription. Only one person per household needs to complete this process.
