On Friday, my friend, Rodney Gullatte Jr., invited me to his Rotary Club luncheon. I walked in to that luncheon having no idea that I would meet the most interesting man of 2020 in my book, Timothy Stoen, who could be credited as taking down the cult leader, “Reverend Jim Jones”, leader of the People's Temple cult and horrific 1978 Jonestown Massacre. 🤨If you don’t have knowledge of these events, I think it’s important for all of us to be aware of how a group of 1000+ intelligent humans could be so grossly misled to mass suicide by an even more intelligent “malignant narcissist”, Jim Jones. 👊🏽Enjoy the read and perhaps pick up the book written by Mr. Stoen who has so beautifully attributed his redemption from his People's Temple involvement to the “grace of God and this great country, America, ‘the land of second chances.’” ⬅️My favorite statement of his gripping speech.
