Very excited to announce that Piotr Bejda has joined the Blacksmith team in NYC! Piotr was the tech lead on Colossus at Google, the storage system that sits under Gmail, YouTube, Drive, and most of GCP (Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Spanner, Persistent Disk). Since then he's worked on dynamic instrumentation, first at Andrew Werner's startup and then at Datadog. Piotr is going to be leading the charge in building highly reliable, performant storage primitives to back all of our product areas.
