Fransje Hooimeijer has been appointed Professor of Delta Urbanism in the Department of Urbanism. With her appointment, Fransje highlights the importance of a sustainable and diverse approach to deltas. Central to her work is the question of how, through interdisciplinary design, we can learn to live with the landscape rather than seeking control of it. Fransje’s personal and professional mission is to contribute to the creation of a sustainable world that embraces diversity.
