Birth for Humankind was proud to be on the ground at Women Deliver 2026, contributing to global conversations on sexual and reproductive health and rights. Across the week, our team attended panels and plenaries, connected with advocates and leaders, and shared the impact of community-based doula support. From discussions on policy and systems change to spaces centring inclusion and gender diversity, these conversations continue to reinforce the importance of accessible, respectful maternity care. We’re bringing these reflections back to the communities we support, with a continued commitment to equity, choice, and dignity in birth. 1: Welcome to Country (acknowledging the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin Nation). 2: Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC at the opening ceremony. 3: Senator the Honourable Katy Gallagher (Minister for Women) and Maryangel García-Ramos Guadiana (Executive Director, Women Enabled International). 4: Former Prime Minister the Honourable Julia Gillard and Jo Kirk (Board Chair, Birth for Humankind). 5: Dr. Maliha Khan (President and Chief Executive Officer, Women Deliver). 6: Audience in main auditorium. 7: Health promotion material by Sexual and Reproductive Health Australia. 8-10: Various photos of Jo Askham (Board Member, Birth for Humankind) and others during her panel session on “Building Feminist Health Systems”. #BirthForHumankind #WomenDeliver2026 #WD2026 #BirthJustice #BirthEquity
